Friday Fever

We have all experienced the Friday "mood swing". You know when you are "So excited it's Friday!!!...PARTAY!" and when you get to work and your slouched in your office chair and your like "oh my gosh...it's freaking Friday...why am I still here..." Every thing you could be doing with your life, flashes across your head: like one of those airplanes that fly discount, seafood announcements across your little stretch of beach, while sipping on a pina colada and working on your summer glow
 (point proven)

I'm going to give everyone a little sneak peak into my head, while I am currently sitting at work, slouched in my office chair:

First, I want this bike:

There is one very similar about 5 minutes from work...and I can hear it calling my name saying "Shalie, buy me please!"

Second, I wish I had her body and her canoe:

I do not know why canoeing just popped into my head, I think its because I just ate my left-over Thai food and feel like a meatball (snookie reference...help me)

Third, Ice Cream Sundae's:

My office is creating these devilish creations in another room as I type AND I feel like a "meatball" so here I am...thinking not eating about ice cream sundae's.

Fourth, Heather's 25th Birthday:

 (March 15th, 2011)

One of my dearest friends birthday is today and I can't wait to celebrate with her and friends tonight... come on work day! hurry up! :)

Blast from the Past

And so it begins...the start of what us former college students used to know as
 SPRING BREAK!
The week that used to consist of no work, friends, food, fun and relaxation. Not a care in the world, just fun in the sun. Let's have a blast from the past, shall we? :)

It's What's For Dinner...

Can I get an Amen! for the picture below?!

This was on the table last night...and it was amazing. One of the BEST blogs for Weight Watcher recipes, check out Skinny Taste for the full recipe and directions!

This meal was so affordable and easy to make. The items I had on hand were the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and eggs, which probably averaged around $4 together. The items I purchased were the lasagna noodles ($1.00), Frozen spinach ($1.64), Tomato Sauce ($1.98), Ricotta Cheese ($1.98)...around $10.00 friends...

The recipe also yields so much! I could only handle one roll and my boyfriend could only eat two (that's shocking), I shared the love with Erin (my roommate) and brought one for lunch today. That leaves 4 lonely rolls in the refrigerator at home :( those poor rolls.

Bridesmaids starring Kristen Wiig: DVD Cover

Watched this movie with Erin last night. HILARIOUS! I loved it. The humor was the belly aching, tear jerking type. I personally do not think Josh would have appreciated the humor (thats why he was not invited) and there were quite a few "F" words in the movie (not a fan of profanity) but I would totally recommend this movie (just not to my mom :).

Have a great Thursday everyone! It's almost the weekend!!!

*Disclaimer* I do not consider myself a high maintenance person or OCD... I just know what I like and I know what I need in order to function in a normal day. It's not pretty otherwise :)
I need:

  • Coffee in the morning. I am pretty sure my mail man knows this about me at this point.
  • To wash my hair every day. no exceptions. I feel grimy, gross, greasy, grungy, and grunky (I made this word up to flow with the others). You get the point!
  • I eat every meal. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. I NEVER skip meals...
  • I spray myself with Febreze everyday. I love my clothes to smell like they just rolled out of the dryer. This is a bit OCD...but whatever :)
  • Finally...I must have a Diet Coke at 2:00 p.m. everyday. I like to consider this the crescendo to my needy day. The butter to my biscuit, if you will (FYI: I am not calling myself a biscuit).
Today was definatley one of those days. My coffee was fantastic, my hair looks...clean, I smell great, breakfast and lunch were fulfilling AND...

...it had LIME!

I like to consider myself the more attractive version of Sophia Vergara. She released this video and tried to say she looked like me...Pfff. Just insert *Shalie* in wherever they say *Lola*.

Last night Heather, Erin and I went over Courtney's house to watch the Women Tell All episode of the Bachelor. What an amazing, drama filled show. My life would be so boring without it. Good friends, Good food, Good Wine :)

One of our choices of the evening:

Have a great Tuesday!
